Each region of Ukraine has its own unique ornament, preserved for many centuries, handed down from generation to generation, depicted on embroidered shirts, tableware, household items, etc.

THE CODE OF THE NATION series of glass Christmas ornaments handmade by the Kharkiv region series was developed by Alena Mamay, who carefully thought out every millimeter of the toy and put meaning, a part of her soul and love for Ukraine into every touch of paint.

The symbols of the Poltava region are characterised by a combination of geometric and floral ornaments. The rhombus symbolises the non-material. The intersection of its diagonals forms a cross - a symbol of eternity. The cross itself connects the Earth (horizontal) and the Sky (vertical).Oak is a symbol of the world tree that grows in paradise and connects the worlds. It is also the tree of Perun, the god of thunder and lightning, the god of solar male energy, development, and life. Our ancestors revered it for its strength, beauty, and durability.

Flowers symbolise souls. On the ball with flowers and diamonds, we see the element of quarrel, which looks out of the flower with its rays. The rays "move" to the left - a symbol of the destruction of ignorance, darkness and bad luck. The combination of all the symbols can be used to read a blessing.

The symbolic image of hops (a blue ornament) in combination with crosses and diamonds can also be read as a whole! Hops represent youth, joy, and love of life. In its symbolism, it is similar to bunches of grapes. Hops are a symbol of young families, the union of families into young families, and the constant movement of generations.
