Each region of Ukraine can boast of its unique ornament, which has been preserved for many centuries, passed from generation to generation, and depicted on embroidered shirts, dishes, household items, etc.
THE CODE OF THE NATION series of glass Christmas ornaments handmade by the Lugansk region series was developed by Alena Mamay, who carefully thought out every millimeter of the toy and put meaning, a part of her soul and love for Ukraine into every touch of paint.
The wavy lines on the white ball are a symbol of water, a symbol of eternity, and, at the same time, the passage of time. Flowers symbolise the stars and souls of people, and are more associated with children.
This ball is a reminder of the divine nature of the soul, its eternal nature and the blessing of children.
The rhombuses on the red ball are symbols of harmony between the male and female. A diamond with a dot inside is a symbol of a sown field and fertility. The "petals" around the rhombus are the connection between man and the Cosmos. The combination of the symbols in this ball suggests that all our efforts and their fruits must be tested against the Higher Law, as well as our life as a whole.
Triangle with top-up on white trim - a symbol of the husband. A triangle with the top down is a symbol of a woman. The ornament of this ball is about the continuous interaction of a man and a woman. This desire of everyone to preserve and strengthen their own nature, which will allow the opposite to fully manifest itself.
The main goal of this collection is to preserve the national code, popularise Ukrainian ornamentation and to pass this memory on to their descendants, to teach them to "read" their own true heritage, to bring back the inheritance and the strong and unbroken bond of the family.
