He lives in dense thickets of trees or hollows of dry trees. He wears deer antlers on his head and a cloak of grasses and foliage on his body. Everyone and everything living and inanimate in the forest obeys the forester. He has an impact on plants and animals and keeps everything in balance.

On 16 August, people honor the forester by bringing bread or other offerings to the forest. In spring, they bake pancakes and bring them to bear dens.So, by feeding the forester people believe that he will not cause harm and will not release wild animals into villages, towns and forest roads.
